Inafa' Maolek Peer Mediation

• Peer Mediation is a program designed to help students become independent problem solvers. A select group of students are trained by professional mediators from Inafa' Maolek Conciliation, Inc. under the direction of Attorney Patrick Wolff. Trainged students are then detailed out to the playground to provide opportunities for students to help each other solve their own conflicts through peer mediation.
• In order for your child to be selected for training, they must attend all in-school meetings which take place every Thursday during lunch time.
• New peer mediation training will be held on October 15 & 22, 9:00 am to 2:00pm. PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN DATES FROM THE PREVIOUS NEWSLETTER. Peer mediation training is open to students in grades 3rd through 5th.
• Students selected to attend the training must complete the entire 10-hour training in order to practice mediation in the playgrounds. Parents must attend the final hour of training for a presentation ceremony and luncheon.
